UPSC CDS (II) 2025 Written Exam Results Declared: 9085 Candidates Qualify for SSB Interviews

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025, held on 14th September 2025. A total of 9085 candidates have qualified in the written examination and are now eligible for the SSB (Service Selection Board) interviews conducted by the Ministry of Defence.

These candidates will be considered for admission to the following prestigious academies:

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun – 161st (DE) Course commencing in July 2026
  • Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala – Course commencing in July 2026
  • Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad – [220 F(P)] Pre-Flying Training Course commencing in July 2026
  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai – 124th SSC (Men) (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October 2026
  • Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai 124th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October 2026

Provisional Selection and Document Submission Guidelines

UPSC has stated that the candidature of the selected candidates is provisional. Candidates must now submit their original documents to the concerned authorities based on their first-choice academy.

Deadline for submission of original certificates

IMA & INA: 1st July 2026

AFA: 13th May 2026

SSC (Men & Women): 1st October 2026

The documents include:

  • Age (Date of Birth) proof
  • Educational qualification certificates
  • NCC (C) Certificate (if applicable)

Candidates must not send any certificates to UPSC but directly to the respective Defence Headquarters.

Army First Choice Candidates Must Register on Indian Army Website

Candidates who have selected Indian Army (IMA or OTA) as their first preference must register themselves on the official recruitment portal: www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

This is necessary to receive call-up letters for SSB interviews. Those who have already registered are advised not to register again.

Address Change Notification

Candidates who wish to update their postal address are advised to directly inform the Army, Navy, or Air Force Headquarters, depending on their service preference.

Mark Sheets Availability

The mark sheets for candidates will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days after the final results of the OTA courses are published (post-SSB interviews). These will be accessible for a period of 30 days.
