UPSC CSE 2023 : Mains Result To Be Announced Soon

Brace yourself as the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is preparing to announce the results for Civil Services Exam (UPSC CSE) Mains 2023 result soon. This year 14,624 candidates qualified in the UPSC prelims exam 2023 and were eligible to appear in the mains exam held on September 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24. After the Mains results the UPSC will conduct the interview round.

Let it be noted that while the UPSC prelims exam has two papers of 400 marks, the mains papers carry 2,350 marks in total. Along with General Science, there is an optional paper, ethics paper & essay. The mains exam was held in two sessions – the forenoon session was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 2 pm to 5 pm.

This year the total number of vacancies are 1,105. In 2022, approximately 6 lakh candidates appeared in the prelims exam and 13,090 appeared in the main exam. Out of 2,070 candidates who took the the interview, only 933 candidates qualified in the civil services.
