Services Allotted to CSE 2019 Passouts, General Category candidates up to rank 77 get IAS

The much awaited service allotment has been made for the candidates clearing the Civil Services Examination (CSE)-2019 conducted by the UPSC. Herewith the details..

Of the 829 candidates who cleared Civil, Services Examination 2019, only 713 have been allocated services according to their merit and respective choices. Remaining candidates have been not been allotted services as their medical test reports or verification of certificates remains pending.

As per the services allotment sheet issued by the UPSC, general category students up to rank 77 only – including the All India Topper Pradeep Singh- could bag the coveted Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

However, three candidates in top 77, opted for Indian Foreign Service (IFS). These are Ganesh Kumar Bhaskar (AIR 7), Swati Sharma (AIR 17) and Riddhima Shrivastava (AIR 74).

Interestingly, Nandanwar Hemant Ramesh (AIR 823) managed to get the IAS as he belongs to the OBC category and also suffers multiple disabilities. Harjinder Singh (AIR 815) from General category too got the IAS cadre as he is Hearing Impaired.

Aasma Garg (AIR 709) got the IFS under Visually Handicapped category and Balveer Singh (AIR 691) was the lowest rank to get the IPS under ST category.

Interestingly, former Miss India contestant, Aishwarya Sheoran, (AIR 96) who was featured in these columns, too has opted for the IFS.
