Uttarakhand CM Dhami Highlights Welfare Schemes, Minority Education and UCC at Beneficiary Conference 

At a beneficiary conference in Dehradun, CM Dhami highlighted government initiatives in education, women’s empowerment, employment, healthcare and social security, and urged beneficiaries to spread awareness about welfare schemes.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a ‘Beneficiary Conference’ organised by the Minority Morcha Mahanagar, Dehradun, where he interacted with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes run by the Central and state governments.

A large number of beneficiaries attended the event and shared their experiences of how government welfare schemes have brought positive changes to their lives. The beneficiaries spoke about improvements in areas such as economic empowerment, education, healthcare, housing, self-employment and social security.

Chief Minister Dhami listened to the beneficiaries and said that public trust is the government’s biggest strength. He added that this trust is also the biggest motivation for the effective implementation of welfare schemes.

Welfare Schemes to Reach Every Eligible Person

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a development-oriented work culture has been established in the country, ensuring that government schemes directly reach eligible beneficiaries.

He said the objective of the double-engine government is to provide equal opportunities to every section of society and bring all citizens into the mainstream of development.

The Chief Minister said the Uttarakhand government is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of development and welfare schemes reach all citizens without any discrimination.

Uttarakhand Minority Education Authority Formed

Highlighting the government’s initiatives in education, CM Dhami said that the state has taken an important and far-reaching decision by abolishing the Uttarakhand Madrasa Board and forming the State Minority Education Authority.

According to the Chief Minister, the new system aims to provide students from minority communities with:

  • Modern and quality education
  • Employment-oriented education
  • Better access to science and technology
  • Skill development opportunities
  • Competitive education

He said the government considers education to be one of the most effective means of bringing social change and is committed to providing every child with better opportunities for the future.

CM Dhami Highlights Uniform Civil Code

Chief Minister Dhami also highlighted the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and said that Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to implement the historic law.

He said the law is an important step towards ensuring equal rights, dignity, security and justice for women.

According to CM Dhami, the Uniform Civil Code will help strengthen:

  • Social harmony
  • Transparency
  • Equal opportunities
  • A fair system of justice for all citizens

Focus on Women, Youth, Farmers and Poor Families

The Chief Minister said the state government has taken effective steps in several areas, including women’s empowerment, employment for youth, increasing farmers’ income, welfare of poor families, expansion of healthcare facilities, housing, drinking water, roads, digital services and social security.

He emphasised that the real objective of welfare schemes is not limited to providing financial assistance. Instead, the government aims to make people self-reliant and provide them with opportunities to live a life of dignity.

CM Appeals to Beneficiaries to Spread Awareness

CM Dhami appealed to the beneficiaries to share information about government schemes with other eligible people in society so that more families can benefit from various welfare programmes.

He said the government is also working to make welfare schemes more effective based on the suggestions and experiences of the people.

Beneficiaries Share Experiences of Government Schemes

During the conference, beneficiaries of various Central and state government schemes expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

The beneficiaries highlighted the benefits they received under schemes related to:

  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
  • Ujjwala Yojana
  • Ayushman Bharat
  • Self-employment and skill development
  • Social security
  • Other Central and state government welfare schemes

Several beneficiaries said that government schemes have significantly improved their standard of living and provided them with new opportunities in education, healthcare, employment and financial security.

Ministers, MLAs and Public Representatives Attend Event

Several public representatives and dignitaries attended the beneficiary conference, including Cabinet Minister Khajan Das, MLA Vinod Chamoli, former Cabinet Minister and office-bearer Dinesh Agrawal, Dehradun Municipal Corporation Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, along with office-bearers of the Minority Morcha.

Party workers, public representatives, beneficiaries and a large number of distinguished citizens were also present at the event.
