Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the 47th All India Public Relations Conference (PRSI) 2025 in Dehradun, marking the opening of the three-day event running from December 13–15. The conference, organized by the Public Relations Society of India, is centered on the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047: Development with Heritage” and brings together communication professionals and PR experts from across India, along with international delegates from Russia.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and toured the photo exhibition displayed at the venue, highlighting Uttarakhand’s developmental milestones. He also visited local handicraft stalls, encouraging artisans and promoting indigenous products.
PR as a Tool for Nation-Building in the Digital Era
Addressing the delegates, CM Dhami emphasized that public relations in the modern digital age is not merely about disseminating information but has become a critical instrument for nation-building. He highlighted the challenges posed by misinformation and stressed the importance of timely, credible, and transparent communication between government and citizens.
“In a state like Uttarakhand, prone to natural disasters and sensitive from a strategic perspective, communication is the foundation of trust, not just a formal requirement,” he said. The Chief Minister added that future PR systems must be technologically advanced, rapid, and citizen-sensitive to foster partnership and confidence between the government and the public.

Crisis Management and Strategic Communication
CM Dhami underscored the importance of PR in crisis management, disaster response, and building positive narratives for the nation. He expressed confidence that Uttarakhand’s vision, emerging from the “Devbhoomi,” would contribute to the larger goal of a Developed India 2047.
Uttarakhand’s Development Journey and Achievements
Highlighting the state’s growth, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand has steadily progressed, with its economy projected to reach ₹3.78 lakh crore in 2024–25. He noted improvements in per capita income, employment rates, and unprecedented budget allocations.
Infrastructure developments across education, health, transport, sports, tourism, and water supply were highlighted, including key projects like the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line, Delhi–Dehradun expressway, ropeway initiatives, airport expansions, and winter tourism promotion. He emphasized that such projects are driving both local and international tourism and enhancing the state’s global recognition.
Investment, Industry, and Local Economy
CM Dhami also discussed the state’s success in attracting investment through initiatives such as the Global Investors Summit, a single-window system, and new industrial and startup policies. He highlighted schemes like “Ek Janpad – Do Utpaad,” House of Himalayas, the Millet Mission, and new tourism and film policies, aimed at strengthening local livelihoods.
He concluded by stating that Uttarakhand’s transparent, citizen-centric governance and innovative policies are setting examples for other states and contributing to the vision of Developed India 2047.

The conference witnessed participation from Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Swami Chidanand Muni of Parmarth Niketan, PRSI National President Ajit Pathak, Dehradun Chapter President Ravi Bijarnia, Russian delegates Michael Maslov, Davydenco Yulia, Anna Talanina, and numerous PR and communication professionals from across India.
