Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government is set to launch the Chief Minister Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana-2026, a major initiative aimed at helping young aspirants prepare for competitive examinations through free online coaching.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has already approved the scheme, and its formal launch is expected to take place soon. Following the launch, the process of providing online coaching to eligible students will begin.

The scheme has been designed to provide quality guidance, coaching and study material to students pursuing higher education in the state.

Free Online Coaching for Competitive Examinations

Under the CM Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana-2026, students pursuing higher education in universities as well as government and government-aided colleges in Uttarakhand will receive free online coaching for a range of competitive examinations.

The initiative will cover preparation for major examinations including Civil Services examinations conducted by UPSC and state Public Service Commissions, Combined Defence Services (CDS), banking examinations, Railways and SSC examinations.

The scheme will also provide coaching support for entrance and eligibility examinations associated with reputed higher educational institutions.

These include CAT, MAT, GATE, NET and CSIR-NET, among others.

Scheme to Benefit Students in Hilly and Remote Areas

One of the major objectives of the scheme is to make quality examination preparation accessible to students irrespective of their geographical location.

Uttarakhand’s hilly and remote areas often have limited access to established coaching centres and specialised academic guidance. Through online classes and study material, students will be able to access coaching from their homes.

The initiative is therefore expected to particularly benefit students living in remote and mountainous parts of the state who may otherwise have to travel to major cities for competitive examination preparation.

Financial Constraints Not to Come in the Way of Preparation

The scheme is also aimed at students who cannot afford the high cost of private coaching.

Competitive examination coaching can involve substantial expenses, including tuition fees, study material, accommodation and travel for students from remote areas. By providing coaching online without charging students, the Uttarakhand government intends to reduce these financial barriers.

The initiative will give eligible students an opportunity to prepare for competitive examinations with structured guidance and learning resources without having to depend entirely on expensive private coaching institutes.

Focus on UPSC, Defence, Banking, SSC and Other Exams

The programme has been structured to cover a broad range of career and educational opportunities.

Students preparing for UPSC and state PSC examinations will be able to access civil services-oriented coaching, while aspirants targeting government-sector careers can prepare for SSC, banking and railway examinations.

Those interested in defence careers will receive support for examinations such as CDS. The scheme also extends beyond recruitment examinations by covering entrance and eligibility tests such as CAT, MAT, GATE, NET and CSIR-NET.

This wider coverage is intended to help students pursue different career paths depending on their educational qualifications and professional goals.

Formal Launch Date to Be Announced

Although Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the Chief Minister Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana-2026, the date for its formal launch has not yet been announced.

The Chief Minister is expected to formally launch the scheme soon. Once launched, the online coaching programme will begin for eligible students across Uttarakhand.

The initiative is expected to strengthen access to competitive examination preparation and provide students, particularly those from financially weaker backgrounds and remote areas, with greater opportunities to compete for higher education and government jobs.
