Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved important financial allocations for development works in Nanakmatta, Udham Singh Nagar district, and preparations for Kumbh Mela 2027.
Under the latest approvals, ₹96 lakh has been sanctioned for drainage and beautification works in Nanakmatta Nagar Panchayat. In addition, the Chief Minister has approved ₹80 crore in the first phase for Kumbh Mela 2027-related works against a total proposed provision of ₹175 crore under the Urban Development Department.
₹96 Lakh for Nanakmatta Drainage and Beautification
The ₹96 lakh allocation for Nanakmatta will be used to improve water drainage and beautification in the Nagar Panchayat area.
The development works are expected to address local infrastructure requirements and improve the overall urban environment.
The allocation will support:
- Strengthening the water drainage system.
- Addressing water accumulation and drainage-related issues.
- Improving the appearance of public spaces.
- Enhancing the overall urban environment of Nanakmatta.
Improved drainage facilities are expected to be particularly beneficial during the monsoon season by helping manage waterlogging in the town.

The amount has been approved against a total proposed provision of ₹175 crore under the Urban Development Department.

The remaining amount under the ₹175-crore provision will be subject to further approvals.
