Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Transfers ₹146.32 Crore to 9.87 Lakh Pension Beneficiaries 

DBT payment covers old-age, widow, disability, farmer and other pension schemes, with ₹146.32 crore released to eligible beneficiaries.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has transferred ₹146.32 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to 9,87,017 beneficiaries under various pension schemes of the Social Welfare Department for July 2026.

The government said the DBT-based payment is aimed at ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive their pension directly in their bank accounts in a timely and transparent manner.

₹146.32 Crore Released Under Multiple Pension Schemes

The July 2026 pension payment covers several social welfare schemes for senior citizens, widows, persons with disabilities, farmers and other eligible beneficiaries.

The scheme-wise distribution includes:

  • Old Age Pension: 6,15,628 beneficiaries received ₹1,500 per month, amounting to around ₹92.34 crore.
  • Widow Pension: 2,36,983 beneficiaries received ₹1,500 each, with around ₹35.54 crore distributed.
  • Disability Pension: 89,128 beneficiaries received ₹1,500 each, amounting to around ₹13.36 crore.
  • Farmer Pension: 27,288 beneficiaries received ₹1,200 each, totalling around ₹3.20 crore.
  • Abandoned Women Pension: 8,284 beneficiaries received ₹1,200 each, totalling around ₹99.41 lakh.
  • Maintenance Grant: 7,383 beneficiaries received ₹700 each, amounting to around ₹51.68 lakh.
  • Teelu Rauteli Pension: 2,196 beneficiaries received ₹1,200 each, totalling around ₹26.35 lakh.
  • Dwarf Pension: 127 beneficiaries received ₹1,200 each, amounting to around ₹1.52 lakh.

CM Dhami Highlights Timely and Transparent Payments

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society.

He emphasised that pension payments are being transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts to ensure transparency and timely delivery of government benefits.

Dhami said the government wants welfare schemes to reach eligible people at the last mile without unnecessary delays or difficulties.

Focus on Senior Citizens, Widows and Persons with Disabilities

The Chief Minister said vulnerable sections of society are an important part of the government’s welfare priorities.

He stressed that elderly people, widows and persons with disabilities should not have to repeatedly visit government offices to receive their pension benefits.

The government is working to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive their rightful benefits on time, with dignity and without unnecessary inconvenience.

Around 2.15 Lakh NSAP Beneficiaries Included

According to Social Welfare Minister Khajan Das, the July 2026 pension instalment has been released under various schemes.

Around 2.15 lakh pensioners covered under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, are also among the beneficiaries. Their payments are currently being processed through the new SNA-SPARSH system.

Overall, the department said 9,87,017 beneficiaries received pension benefits in July 2026, with ₹146.32 crore distributed under different schemes.

Government Emphasises Inclusive Welfare

CM Dhami said Uttarakhand’s development can be sustained only when the welfare and development of every section of society are ensured.

He said the state government is working under the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” to strengthen Uttarakhand and move it towards greater self-reliance.

The government has also emphasised the use of digital systems such as DBT to make welfare delivery more efficient and transparent.
