Nagaland DGP Calls for Integrity, Rule Adherence Among Ministerial Staff: Know What He Said

Nagaland DGP Sharma has stressed integrity and adherence to rules among ministerial staff, while officials highlighted CANSSEA’s role in employee welfare and service matters.

Kohima: Nagaland Director General of Police Rupin Sharma, a 1992-batch IPS officer, on Saturday called for integrity and adherence to rules among ministerial staff, emphasising the importance of a disciplined and responsible approach to public service.

The remarks were made during an event involving the Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Staff Association (NDMSA) and the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA).

CANSSEA’s Role in Employee Matters Highlighted

Speaking on the occasion, Sanglir, associated with the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, highlighted the role of CANSSEA as an apex body representing government employees.

He noted that the association has taken up issues concerning:

  • Service conditions
  • Pay and pension
  • Employee welfare
  • Pension reforms
  • Revision of Pay (ROP)

Sanglir also referred to CANSSEA’s role in the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).

He said the association was also pursuing matters related to pension reforms and the latest Revision of Pay.

Strong Associations Contribute to Public Service

Sanglir said the achievements of the association demonstrated what could be accomplished when members worked collectively towards a common purpose.

He also said a strong employees’ association contributes to an efficient and responsive public service.

The remarks placed emphasis on the role of organised employee bodies in raising service-related issues and pursuing matters concerning government employees.

NDMSA Welcomes Association’s Achievements

On behalf of the NDMSA, Bendangsenla welcomed the participants and expressed appreciation for the association’s achievements.

She also acknowledged the continued support extended by DGP Sharma to ministerial staff.

Bendangsenla described the creation of the Administrative Officer post as a historic fulfilment of a long-standing demand of ministerial staff.

The event brought together representatives of the ministerial staff and the employees’ association, with discussions focusing on service-related issues and the role of government employees in public administration.
