Dehradun: In a significant administrative move, the Uttarakhand government on Saturday carried out a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy, transferring several senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Finance Service, and State Civil Service (PCS) with immediate effect.

According to the Personnel and Vigilance Section, a total of 18 IAS officers, 11 PCS officers, and one Finance Service officer have been reassigned to new responsibilities. The reshuffle is being viewed as a step to improve departmental coordination, streamline government functioning, and support preparations for major events like the upcoming Kumbh Mela.

Major IAS Transfers

The reshuffle has brought significant changes across key departments:

  • R. Rajesh Kumar: Removed from Health Department, now assigned to Housing Department.
  • Deependra Chaudhary: Relieved from Secretariat Administration and AYUSH Department.
  • Vinod Kumar Suman: Removed from Secretary General Administration and Project Director UDRP.
  • Ranveer Singh Chauhan: From Commissioner Food and State Property to Secretariat Administration.

  • Sandeep Kumar – Deputy Collector, Pauri
  • Lalit Mohan Tiwari – Deputy Collector, Pithoragarh

Other PCS changes include:

  • Dinesh Pratap Singh – Relieved from Executive Director Sugar
  • Anil Kumar – Deputy Collector, Haridwar
  • Nupur – Executive Director, Sugar Mill

Administrative Impact

This reshuffle is linked to the state’s development plans, departmental efficiency, and preparations for large-scale events like the Kumbh Mela. Officials expect the new postings to expedite governance and improve coordination across departments. Government sources indicate that another list of transfers may be issued soon, covering additional officers at both field and secretariat levels.
