New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel invited global investors to explore emerging opportunities in the state ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027, calling Gujarat a “Global Gateway to the Future.”
Gujarat Targets New Global Partnerships
The Chief Minister said Gujarat’s economic and cultural ties with countries across the world have strengthened over the years through people-to-people connections, cultural exchanges and economic cooperation.
VGGS 2027 will focus on deepening these relationships while creating opportunities for international investment, technology partnerships and business collaboration.
Patel invited companies from participating countries to establish manufacturing operations in Gujarat and contribute to the vision of “Made in India, Made for the World.”
He also referred to his recent high-level delegation visit to the United States and Canada, where, he said, business leaders showed interest in Gujarat’s development journey and investment-friendly policies.

Focus on Emerging Technologies and Green Economy
Gujarat is positioning several future-oriented sectors as key areas for investment. These include:
- Semiconductors and electronics
- Artificial intelligence and digital technology
- Green energy and green hydrogen
- Electric vehicles
- Pharmaceuticals and biotechnology
- Aerospace and defence
Petrochemicals, textiles and food processing
The state is also seeking to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor supply chain.
Patel said Gujarat’s focus is on building an ecosystem that combines innovation, investment opportunities and trusted partnerships as global economic priorities continue to change.
Industry-Friendly Policies to Support Investors
The Chief Minister highlighted several policy initiatives introduced by Gujarat to attract and support businesses, including the Semiconductor Policy, IT & ITeS Policy, Green Hydrogen Policy, GCC Policy and policies covering shipbuilding and ship repair.
The state has also launched the Viksit Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026, which introduces a “Choose Your Incentive” option for industries.
The policy aims to promote balanced industrial development across Gujarat while strengthening the state’s position as a global manufacturing and investment hub.
Foreign Missions Invited to VGGS 2027
Gujarat Chief Secretary M.K. Das highlighted the state’s transformation into a major hub for industry, innovation, trade and sustainable development.
He attributed the state’s growth to infrastructure development, investor-friendly governance and its focus on future-ready sectors. He invited foreign missions to participate actively in VGGS 2027 through investment partnerships, technology collaboration, trade and knowledge exchange.
Sudhakar Dalela, Secretary (Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs, also underlined the importance of ease of doing business in strengthening international trade and economic partnerships.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for VGGS 2027 and encouraged international businesses and investors to engage with Gujarat.
Gujarat Highlights Investment Performance
During the interaction, Gujarat officials presented the state’s economic strengths, manufacturing capabilities, export competitiveness and infrastructure.
The state outlined its ambition to become a USD 3.5 trillion economy by 2047, with advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, green energy, aerospace, innovation and services identified as important growth areas.
According to the information shared by the Gujarat government, the state has attracted cumulative FDI inflows of USD 74.6 billion between January 2000 and March 2026.
Gujarat also highlighted its performance in the recently announced NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index 2026 and its consistent performance in the LEADS logistics index.
VGGS 2027 to Expand Global Economic Engagement
The 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will be held from January 10 to 12, 2027, in Gandhinagar, with the theme “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future.”
The summit is expected to bring together governments, international businesses, investors and industry leaders to explore opportunities in emerging technologies, manufacturing, infrastructure and sustainable development.
With its latest diplomatic outreach, Gujarat is seeking to turn international interest into deeper investment and technology partnerships. The focus on future industries and global collaboration also reflects the state’s broader strategy to strengthen its role in India’s growth while creating new opportunities for businesses and the local economy.
