New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Vivek Nishant Nath for the position of Director (Commercial) at NMDC Limited, one of India’s leading public sector mining companies under the Ministry of Steel.
The selection meeting was held in New Delhi on April 25, 2026 at 9:45 AM. After a detailed evaluation of candidates, the board finalised its recommendation, which will now go to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.
Selection Process and Competing Candidates
A total of 11 senior-level executives from major public sector undertakings including NMDC, SAIL, NALCO, and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) were interviewed for the prestigious role.
The selection process reflected strong competition among experienced professionals from the mining, steel, and metals sectors.
