  • January 16, 2026: The Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) post-mortem report revealed injuries and abrasions on 10 parts of her body, sparking allegations of sexual assault.
  • January 16, 2026 (Night): On government orders, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed.
  • January 17, 2026: IG Jitendra Rana personally visited the hostel, sealed the room, and ordered forensic evidence collection, including CCTV footage and other records.
