Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today launched the book ‘9 Years of New Development’ in Lucknow, showcasing the state’s achievements over the past nine years. During the event at Lok Bhawan, CM Yogi highlighted major developments in security, investment, infrastructure, and employment under the “double-engine” government model.
Celebrating 9 Years of Development and Good Governance
CM Yogi addressed the gathering, congratulating the people of Uttar Pradesh for their collective efforts. He emphasized that the state’s progress over the last nine years is the result of the hard work of party workers, dedication of public representatives, and active cooperation from citizens.
“The state has achieved remarkable growth in security, investment, infrastructure, and employment, giving Uttar Pradesh a new identity under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
From Crisis to Confidence: Transformation Since 2017
The Chief Minister contrasted the current scenario with the situation before 2017. He noted that the state faced a crisis of identity, rampant farmer distress, weak law and order, and widespread corruption affecting recruitment processes. Migration from the state was also common due to lack of opportunities.
CM Yogi claimed that these challenges have been addressed through government initiatives, leading to:
- Strengthened law and order
- Improved women’s safety
- Rapid infrastructure expansion through expressways, airports, and industrial projects
- Creation of new employment opportunities
Welfare Schemes for All Sections of Society
The CM highlighted several welfare initiatives for marginalized groups, farmers, women, and youth. Education and healthcare services have been improved, while governance has become more transparent. Additionally, efforts to promote Uttar Pradesh’s culture and heritage have strengthened the state’s identity on a national level.
To showcase these achievements, a 9-day awareness campaign starting from Basant Navratri will engage citizens, allowing the government to communicate progress and future development plans.
Law and Order Improvements
CM Yogi emphasized improvements in law and order, noting that festivals like Navratri and Ramadan are now celebrated peacefully without incidents of unrest or curfews. Transparency has also increased, with previous instances of corruption significantly reduced.
He also highlighted the revival of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and the establishment of three women’s battalions to enhance women’s safety and strengthen the policing system.
Infrastructure and Air Connectivity Expansion
Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a major boost in air connectivity, now operating 16 domestic airports and 4 international airports. The CM highlighted the upcoming Jewar International Airport, which he called the largest in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is invited for the inauguration on March 28. This project is expected to drive investment, tourism, and job creation in the state.
Record Budget and Economic Growth
The state government has presented a budget of ₹9.12 lakh crore for the upcoming financial year, aiming to accelerate overall development. CM Yogi noted that investments in key sectors have reached new heights, with major industries now setting up operations in Uttar Pradesh.
“The number nine is symbolic of completeness, and this initiative represents a step towards holistic progress for the state,” the CM said.
Collective Effort Behind Transformation
CM Yogi repeatedly credited the state’s transformation to collective efforts, stating that no single individual is responsible. The credit goes to the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dedication of BJP workers, service-oriented public representatives, and the support of the citizens.
“Today, Uttar Pradesh is moving forward with confidence, playing a significant role in India’s growth journey,” CM Yogi said.
