48 Projects Cover Bithoor and Bilhaur
The development package comprises 48 projects with a combined value of ₹411.77 crore. These initiatives are associated with the Bithoor and Bilhaur Assembly constituencies.

The district administration had been preparing for the visit, with officials reviewing arrangements at the helipad, public meeting venue and other locations included in the Chief Minister’s itinerary.
Valmiki Ashram Prepared for Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
Preparations were underway across Bithoor ahead of the visit. Workers carried out cleaning and maintenance activities, while a stretch of approximately 100 metres of road leading towards Valmiki Ashram was repaired.
The ashram complex was painted and decorated with coloured lights. A waterproof pavilion was also arranged at Nana Rao Peshwa Park near the Kashi Mukti Manch, where the public meeting is scheduled to take place.
The Public Works Department carried out road patchwork in the Singhpur and Mandhana areas. The helipad and gathering venue were also prepared for the programme.
Police officials, led by Additional Commissioner of Police Vipin Tada (IPS: 2012: UP) and Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S. M. Qasim Abidi (IPS: 2017: UP), inspected the arrangements at Nana Rao Park. Police personnel were instructed to remain alert and carry out their assigned duties.
Bithoor’s Association With Maharishi Valmiki
Bithoor is associated with religious traditions surrounding Maharishi Valmiki and the epic Ramayana. According to popular belief, Valmiki composed the epic at the ashram, where Sita also found refuge. Tradition further holds that Lord Rama’s sons, Luv and Kush, were born there.
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has been working on the development of religious sites associated with Maharishi Valmiki, with a focus on preserving their heritage and improving facilities for devotees.
The Chief Minister’s visit combines the Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti programme with the announcement of development projects for the Bithoor and Bilhaur areas.
