Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress and future roadmap of ‘Mission Karmayogi’ in Uttar Pradesh. The discussion focused on implementation strategies, training frameworks, digital platforms, and capacity-building initiatives across state departments.

Mission Karmayogi: Building a Future-Ready Administrative Workforce

The Chief Minister emphasized that Mission Karmayogi, a transformative initiative under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to develop a globally competent workforce rooted in Indian culture and values, capable of driving development at both the state and national levels. “The mission plays a key role in making governance responsive, accountable, and results-oriented, equipped to meet future challenges,” CM Yogi said.

Massive Scale: Connecting Millions of Personnel Nationwide

The meeting highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Mission Karmayogi seeks to link over 30 lakh civil servants in the central government, 2.2 crore personnel in state governments, and approximately 50 lakh employees in urban local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions with capacity-building programs. More than 790 government training institutes across India are being modernized under this initiative.

iGOT Platform: World’s Largest Government Training Platform

The Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) digital platform has become the largest government-backed capacity-building platform globally. Key highlights include:

  • 1.45 crore+ registered users
  • 4,179 training courses (840+ in Hindi, 540+ in 15 regional languages)
  • 6.7 crore+ courses completed with a 70%+ completion rate
  • 50 lakh+ app downloads

Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in iGOT implementation:

  • 18.8 lakh+ personnel onboarded on the platform
  • Contributed 93% of national onboarding in 2025
  • 10 lakh+ users completed at least one course
  • 72 lakh+ courses completed, accounting for 99% of nationwide completions

Training Linked to Promotions and ACR

CM Yogi directed that all departments develop and upload courses on the iGOT portal as per their requirements. A seven-day mandatory capacity-building program for all officers and staff will be implemented and linked to promotions and Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs).

Specialized Training Centers and Course Content

The Chief Minister instructed that capacity-building courses, including AI and cybersecurity, be introduced at all state training centers, including UP Administrative Service institutions, to enhance efficiency at the center level. Departments were also asked to upload Uttar Pradesh-specific case studies on the iGOT knowledge platform, ‘Amrit Gyan Kosh’, alongside global best practices.

Emphasis on Practical Training for Field Staff

Practical and work-based training will be prioritized for field personnel such as ANMs, ASHA workers, police constables, and employees of urban local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions to improve service delivery on the ground. CM Yogi stressed that quality, regular evaluation, and practical utility of training programs must be ensured to achieve tangible improvements in governance.

Focus on Knowledge, Skills, and Positive Attitude

Highlighting the importance of integrating knowledge, skills, and positive thinking, the Chief Minister said these elements are essential for enhancing the quality of public service and ensuring efficient, citizen-centric governance across Uttar Pradesh.

About Mission Karmayogi:

Launched under the Government of India, Mission Karmayogi is a capacity-building program aimed at creating a skilled, accountable, and future-ready administrative workforce through digital training, knowledge-sharing platforms, and practical skill development across government departments nationwide.
