In a moment of pride and recognition, Chhattisgarh’s tableau has been officially selected for the prestigious Ekta Parade 2025, to be held on October 31 at Ekta Nagar (Statue of Unity), Gujarat, on the occasion of National Unity Day.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai extended his congratulations to the Chhattisgarh State Public Relations Department, under whose guidance the tableau is being prepared, calling the selection a national-level recognition of the state’s cultural diversity, tribal traditions, and unified spirit.

Bastar in Focus: A Journey from Struggle to Development

This year’s tableau will present Bastar’s transformation, highlighting its transition from a region marked by conflict to one of progress and peace. It will reflect the region’s evolving identity, blending tribal heritage with modern development.

The tableau will beautifully integrate:

  • Traditional folk dances and costumes
  • Dhokra metal art and tribal paintings
  • Symbols of modern education, healthcare, and infrastructure

“Bastar is no longer just a story of struggle; it is now a symbol of trust, growth, and cultural pride,” said Mr. Sai.

Cultural Heritage Meets Developmental Vision

The central theme of the tableau is “Unity in Diversity”, portraying how the state government’s people-centric policies and rehabilitation measures have created a new narrative in Naxal-affected regions.

It sends a strong message: from conflict to confidence, from isolation to integration — Bastar today represents a model of sustainable, inclusive growth.

PM Modi and Union Home Minister to Review Tableau at Ekta Nagar

The Unity Day Parade, organized by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, will be reviewed by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah. It aims to showcase India’s unity, integrity, and rich cultural tapestry.

Apart from Chhattisgarh, tableaux from Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, NDRF, and NSG will also be featured.

A National Platform for Chhattisgarh’s Cultural Confidence

This national selection reflects Chhattisgarh’s rising prominence in the Indian cultural and administrative landscape. The tableau’s message is clear: Bastar is changing, and Chhattisgarh is moving forward with unity, pride, and purpose.

It is yet another testament to how culture and development go hand-in-hand under a visionary governance model.
