Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel visited Rajkot district on Friday, marking a day filled with major developmental initiatives and community-centric programmes. His visit focused on rural technology inclusion, agricultural innovation and infrastructure enhancement.

State’s Tallest Flag Hoisted at Unity Cement Plant

At the Unity Cement Plant in Patidad, Gondal, Mr. Patel inaugurated the newly constructed main entrance gate and hoisted a massive national flag measuring 40×60 ft on a towering 180-foot pole — the tallest in Gujarat. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents as the Chief Minister joined the gathering for the national anthem.

Empowering Girls Through Digital Learning

Reinforcing Gujarat’s commitment to inclusive education, Mr. Patel presented tablets to members of the Balika Panchayat of Patidad village. He encouraged young girls to embrace digital tools to strengthen their academic journey and future career opportunities.

Highlighting PM Modi’s GYAN Vision

Addressing the audience, the Chief Minister highlighted Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s GYAN vision — Garib, Yuva, Annadata and Nari Shakti. He noted that this vision forms the backbone of the government’s development agenda, particularly its focus on farmer welfare and women empowerment.

Focus on Farmers and Environment-Friendly Development

Mr. Patel briefed participants on several farmer-centric schemes introduced under the guidance of the Prime Minister. He emphasised that sustainable development must go hand in hand with environmental protection, ensuring long-term stability for agriculture and rural livelihoods.

Praise for New Agro Biotech Research Innovations

The Chief Minister also applauded the newly opened Agro Biotech Research Centre in Patidad, calling it a significant step toward harnessing biotechnology for agricultural advancement. He congratulated the Vimal Research Society for establishing the centre and urged farmers to adopt indigenous, research-backed technologies to strengthen self-reliance in the agriculture sector.

Inauguration of Research Facilities in Patidad

Earlier in the day, Mr. Patel inaugurated the Research Building of the Vimal Research Society. He also inspected the advanced laboratories and technology infrastructure at the Agro Biotech Research Centre, reaffirming the government’s push toward innovation-driven agriculture and rural development.
