Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath, during a visit to Orai in Jalaun district, launched development projects worth Rs. 1,824 crore, reaffirming his government’s commitment to holistic regional growth. Addressing a large gathering of citizens, officials, and BJP workers, the CM began his address with patriotic fervor, greeting the crowd with “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and personally distributing welfare kits to ten selected beneficiaries under public welfare schemes.
Focus on Regional Development and Cultural Heritage
Highlighting Jalaun’s unique identity, Mr. Adityanath noted the Panchnad project, a key infrastructure initiative where five rivers converge, will soon be completed and become operational. He lauded the efforts of public representatives and the administration in transforming the district, which has received a massive boost in public investment under the current government.
Mr. Adityanath also emphasized the historical and geographical importance of Jalaun, asserting that the double-engine government (centre and state alignment) is accelerating development across even the most remote districts.
Rs. 1,824 Crore: A Game-Changer for Jalaun
The Chief Minister underlined that projects worth Rs. 1,824 crore have been sanctioned for the district. These include infrastructure upgrades, connectivity improvements, welfare schemes, and initiatives targeting employment and rural prosperity. “When governance is clean and focused, results follow,” he added.
Sharp Criticism of Previous Governments and SP
Mr. Adityanath used the platform to strongly criticize the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) government. Referring to the period before 2017 as one marked by lawlessness, he said:
“During festivals and public celebrations, riots were a norm. Those who incited violence were treated like messiahs.”
He added that under the SP regime, public fear was widespread—especially among women—due to unchecked criminal elements. He claimed that SP had turned into a “party of goons,” and during its tenure, monuments of national heroes were neglected or destroyed.
Law and Order Restored in Uttar Pradesh
The CM reiterated his administration’s zero-tolerance policy against crime and mafia elements. “We have shown where those who harass our sisters and daughters belong,” he said, alluding to the state’s crackdown on crime and the restoration of public order.
He also mentioned that in the current era, “There is no place for mafia or anarchy in Uttar Pradesh,” attributing this to his government’s strict law enforcement and accountability measures.
Empowering the Poor and Marginalized
Pointing out that the previous regime failed to provide even basic amenities to the poor—such as toilets, employment, and roads—Mr. Adityanath praised the people for backing a government that focuses on infrastructure, welfare, and inclusive growth. “It is your decision that opened the doors of development for the region,” he said, thanking the public for their support.
