Mr. Yogi Adityanath highlighted that before 2017, idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha were being imported from China. “Today, thanks to initiatives like One District One Product (ODOP), beautifully crafted terracotta idols made in Uttar Pradesh are available in markets across India. The GI (Geographical Indication) tag has added immense value, opening up global markets for our artisans,” he said.

The Chief Minister proudly stated that Uttar Pradesh now produces 60 percent of all mobile phones in India, establishing itself as the nation’s largest hub for electronics manufacturing. From just two airports in 2017 to 16 operational airports today, Uttar Pradesh has become a model of modern infrastructure. Highlighting the state’s commitment to sustainable development, Mr. Adityanath announced the inauguration of an electric bus manufacturing facility this month. “This not only promotes environmental protection but will also generate thousands of jobs within the state,” he said.

The Swadeshi Mela, organized simultaneously across all districts, showcases the creativity and enterprise of local manufacturers.
