Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami visited ISBT Dehradun directly from the Secretariat to assess on-ground arrangements. During his visit, he closely examined cleanliness, passenger amenities, bus operations, security, and overall management of the transport hub.

Strong Message on Cleanliness and Accountability
The Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure upon noticing scattered garbage at multiple locations. Demonstrating hands-on leadership, Mr. Dhami even picked up a broom to clean the premises, emphasizing that cleanliness must be visible on the ground and not limited to reports. He warned officials that negligence in maintaining public facilities would not be tolerated.
Instructions to Improve Public Services and Passenger Experience
Mr. Dhami directed the Transport Department and MDDA officials to ensure regular cleaning schedules, install cleanliness signage, and provide passengers with a pollution-free and waste-free environment. He specifically asked MDDA Vice Chairman Mr. Banshidhar Tiwari to prepare and implement an immediate action plan for ISBT management.
Passenger Engagement and Feedback-Driven Improvements
During the visit, Mr. Dhami interacted with passengers, inquiring about their travel experiences and suggestions for improvement. He highlighted that public feedback will serve as a foundation for enhancing service standards at bus stations and other transport hubs.
Uttarakhand Prepares for Statewide Cleanliness Campaign
The Chief Minister announced a comprehensive cleanliness campaign to be launched across Uttarakhand, focusing on active public participation. He also warned that all facilities at ISBT must meet high standards before his next inspection, and strict action will be taken against officials failing to comply.
