From planting trees to celebrating the festival with all the traditional practices, bureaucrats from all around the country observed the auspicious festival of Holi.
- Happy Holi 2021
Holi-the ancient Hindu festival, also known as the ‘festival of colours’, was celebrated all across the country on 29 March this year. The festival signifies the triumph of good over evil and reflects the eternal love of Hindu deities Radha and Krishna. People from all parts of the country celebrate the festival with fervour and joy, which includes the traditional practices of playing with coloured powders (Gulaal) and having sweets like ‘Gujiya‘.
Similarly, many civil servants from various parts of the country also observed the auspicious festival and shared their wishes for Twitteratis and their well-wishers. We curated a list of such messages which includes a mix of wishes, pictures, and videos.
IAS officer Supriya Sahu celebrated the festival like no-one else. Contributing to the mother nature and by taking a unique initiative of voter awareness through tree plantation, she and the Deputy Commissioner of Nilgiris J Innocent Divya planted 400 tress in the district with the help of local villagers.
Whereas, IAS officer Raj Shekhar tagged his Holi squad as ‘The Colour Warriors’.
Somesh Upadhyay wished everyone a Happy Holi and shared a colorful picture of the Indian Map calling it a ‘NASA satellite picture of India on Holi’. The tweet received a lot of funny comments which also made the bureaucrat laugh.
IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal also shared a message about the connection between the Holi and nature as the festival is also a beginning of the blooming of flowers.
Whereas, IAS officer Nileshkumar Kshirsagar shared a picture with his family in traditional dresses and wished everyone a Happy Holi.
IPS officer Qazi Bisma celebrated the festival with Commissioner of Police Delhi and shared a picture with him while receiving a gift on the festival.
IPS officer Shweta Chauhan offered her wishes on behalf of her family and shared a picture with them while celebrating the festival.
