India has lost two great minds in the Covid-19 Pandemic that has claimed more than two lakh lives. Former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee and Bihar Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh took their last breath due to corona complications.
Born in 1930 Mr. Sorabjee was one of finest legal minds and a recipient of Padma Bhusan. He started his law practice in 1953 with the Bombay High Court. He was designated senior counsel by the Supreme Court in 1971. He served two times as Attorney General first in 1989 and then from 1998 to 2004. Mr Sorabjee was also appointed a UN Special Rapporteur for Nigeria in 1997.
Whereas, the 1985 batch officer and current chief secretary of Bihar Mr. Arun Kumar Singh was admitted in Paras hospital, Patna where he lost his live. He took place of Deepak Kumar as the Chief Secretary in February this year. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has showed his grief on the death of the senior officer. He said that the officer was an efficient administrator and his death was an irreparable loss to the administrative service.
