2019 batch Punjab Cadre IPS officer Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia has been awarded with Prime Minister’s Baton and Home Ministry’s revolver for being the best all-round IPS probationer of the 73rd RR (Regular Recruit) batch. She has also won the 1973 batch IPS officer’s trophy for the best all-round lady IPS probationer. Along with this, Ms. Ahluwalia has also bagged the Vice President of India’s trophy for exemplary conduct.
Ms. Ahluwalia has also led the passing out parade previous year for being adjudged the best probationer in the phase 1 training.
It has happened after years that a Punjab cadre IPS probationer is getting and award. The present DGP, Gaurav Yadav, won the laurel in 1992.
