Surya Namaskar or sun salutation is a powerful yoga pose covered in 12 steps. This simple yoga pose carries a lot of benefits and is said to burn approximately 150 calories in one go. Along with improving the cognitive functions of the brain, doing the yoga pose also helps in relaxing the mind at the same time.
In an extremely interesting visual, IFS officer Saket Badola shared a video of a majestic leopard doing Surya namaskar in the ‘Land of the Leopard’ National Park situated in far-east Russia. The beast is seen to be stretching his arms, coming into the downward dog pose, stretching his hind legs and relaxing down.
The officer wrote in his tweet- “Morning stretching routine in the wild. (Shared from ‘Land of the Leopard’ National Park, Russian Far-east.)” which he shared with his 33.6k Twitter followers.
