New Delhi: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Regional Institute-VII (RI-VII), Bhubaneswar, has signed two Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs) to enhance employability and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth in Odisha.
The agreements were signed on September 30, 2026, as part of CMPDI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Through these programmes, a total of 120 unemployed youth from the drilling operational areas and districts of Odisha will receive skill-based training aimed at improving their employment prospects and supporting long-term livelihood generation.
The two MoAs have been signed with the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar, and the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar. Both initiatives focus on developing practical, industry-relevant skills and strengthening employment opportunities for local youth.
MoA with Skill Development Institute, Bhubaneswar
Under the first MoA, CMPDI’s RI-VII will support skill development training for 60 unemployed youth through the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar.
The programme will offer training in two courses:
- Solar PV Installer: Training focused on developing skills relevant to solar photovoltaic installation.
- Industrial Electrician: Training aimed at building technical capabilities for industrial electrical work.
The initiative seeks to equip participants with industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills, helping them become better prepared for employment opportunities in the respective sectors.

MoA with Central Tool Room & Training Centre, Bhubaneswar
Under the second MoA, 60 unemployed youth will receive training through the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar.
The programme will provide a Skill Development and Placement Programme in Junior Technician – Tool & Die Maker (JTTDM).
The initiative will focus on technical skill development and provide placement support to improve participants’ employment prospects. Through specialised training, the programme aims to strengthen the technical capabilities of local youth and prepare them for relevant job opportunities.
CMPDI to Train 120 Youth Through Two CSR Initiatives
Together, the two agreements will benefit 120 unemployed youth from CMPDI’s drilling operational areas and districts in Odisha. The programmes combine technical and vocational training with a focus on employability and placement opportunities.
Key highlights of the initiatives include:
- Total beneficiaries: 120 unemployed youth.
- Partner institutes: Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar, and Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar.
- Training under SDI: Solar PV Installer and Industrial Electrician courses for 60 youth.
