Kolkata: REC Limited has launched a women empowerment initiative in Bangaon, West Bengal, aimed at promoting self-employment and financial independence. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, the company will distribute 600 foot-operated sewing machines to women beneficiaries, enabling them to start sustainable livelihood activities.
