Republic Day Awards For Distinguished and Meritorious Service

With the 72nd Republic Day being commemorated in India, 89 Police Officers have been awarded with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and 650 officers received Police Medal For Meritorious Service 2021.

This year on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, the Union government announced various awards and medals to police officers and soldiers who relentlessly served the nation with full devotion and some even sacrificed their lives with bravery.

Around 89 police officers from various states in the country received the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service 2021. This includes various senior IPS officers such as Violet Baruah, DIG (BTAD), Kokrajhar, Assam, Rajesh Tripathi, DIG Human Rights, Patna Bihar, Navdeep Singh Virk, ADGP (Law and Order), Panchkula, Haryana, Sandeep Khirwar, ADGP, Rohtak, Haryana, Venugopal N, ADGP State CID, Shimla, HP, Shiv Darshan Singh, ADGP Security, J&K, Tsewang Namgyal, ADGP Traffic, J&K, and many more.

Apart from this, 650 police officers from various parts of the country received the Police Medal For Meritorious Service 2021. This includes a number of deserving police officers from all around the country. To see the full list: click here

Haryana Police shared a tweet in which they addressed all the 14 police officers who were awarded for their distinguished and meritorious service.

Similarly, SP South Goa congratulated two police officers for receiving the prestigious Police Medal For Meritorious Service.

Under the President’s Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Distinguished Service, 54 Home Guards, and Civil Defense personnel were awarded the President’s Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Distinguished Service.
