8 IAS Officers transferred by the West Bengal government

The Government of West Bengal issued an official statement transferring 8 IAS Officers

In a recent official statement issued by the Government of West Bengal, it has issued an order of transferring and posting of 8 IAS Officers from the state.

Following is the list of the IAS Officers and the new duties that they are appointed:

  • H.K. Dwivedi (1988 batch): He has been assigned the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home.
  • Manoj Pant (1991 batch): He has been made Principal Secretary, Finance along with an additional charge of Principal Secretary, Land and Land Reforms and Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department and Land Reforms Commissioner.
  • Kanwaljit Singh Cheema (1993 batch): Posted as Principal Secretary, Tribal Development Department. Kanwaljit has also been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Sundarban Affairs Department.
  • Prabhat Kumar Mishra (1993 batch): Given the charge as the Principal Secretary, Water Resource Investigation and Development along with an additional appointment as Principal Secretary, Fisheries Department and Project Director, ADMI Project Department.
  • Rajesh Pandey (1995 batch): He is scheduled to take the charge of Principal Secretary, MSME and Textiles Department along with an additional charge of Principal Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department.
  • Rajesh Sinha (1997 batch): He will now assume the charge of Secretary, Transport Department.
  • Santanu Basu (2000 batch): He has been given the charge of Secretary, Information & Cultural Affairs Department with the additional posting of CMD, WBSEDCL.
  • Sumit Gupta (2009 batch): He has been appointed as Executive Director, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation. Moreover, he will also be charged as the Joint Secretary, Health, and Family Welfare Department.
