3 Senior Bureaucrats Transferred In Punjab

1989-batch IAS officer, Kripa Shankar Saroj who recently exposed the Rs 55 crore alleged scam against SW Minister, Sandhu Singh Dharamsot, transferred to the Animal Husbandry department.

Kirpa Shankar Saroj, a senior bureaucrat of 1989-batch who was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities has been transferred and posted in the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries department.

This comes quickly after the IAS officer exposed the Rs 55 crore scam in the disbursal of funds under the SC post-matric scholarship scheme. Social Welfare Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot is accused of allegedly being involved in the illegal dispersal of funds.

Along with him, two other IAS officers were transferred on 28 September by the Punjab government.

1992-batch IAS officer, Jaspal Singh has taken over the charge in the Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities department replacing Kirpa Shankar. Prior to this, Singh was in charge of the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries department.

Lastly, 1993-batch IAS officer, Anurag Verma who is holding the charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education, and Industrial Training has been given an additional charge of the Elections department.
