On Wednesday, Sept. 30th, 2020 the government of Andhra Pradesh, released on official statement of transferring the Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Anil Kumar Singhal and posting him as the Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare. As the former Executive Officer, he used to manage several temples which also include the cash-rich hill shrine of Lord Venkatswara.
Anil Kumar is a 1993 batch IAS Officer who had been serving as TTD EO since May 2017. Last week, he was empanelled as an Additional Secretary in the Union Government. According to an official source, “Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen that Singhal render his services to the state rather than going back to the Centre.”
1990 batch K S Jawahar Reddy, who currently stands on the post of Special Chief Secretary (Health) will be appointed as the Executive Officer of TTD.
