In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, five senior IAS and IAAS officers have been given up-gradation to the level of Additional Secretary in the Government of India. The officers who have been transferred are listed down below:
- 1990-batch IAS of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Pankaj Jain, presently Joint Secretary- Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, has been given extension in up-gradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary for term up to 08.04.2022.
- 1988 batch IAS from AGMUT cadre, Dharmendra Sharma, currently Director-General, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management(IIIDEM), has been given extension in up-gradation from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary for a term up to 11.04.2022.
- 1990 batch IAS Arun Baroka, presently Joint Secretary – Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, has been given Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary for term upto 02.05.2022.
- 1988 batch IAS Dharam Pal IAS, presently Joint Secretary- Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, ha sbeen given extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary for term up to 12.04.2021.
- Lastly, 1988 batch IAAS officer Meera Swarup presently Joint Secretary- Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance,has been given extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary for term up to 02.05.2022.
