Gujarat: 2 IAS Officers Transferred, 3 Others Given Additional Charges

The Gujarat government has transferred two IAS officers of the 2004 batch and has given additional responsibilities to three others.

Manisha Chandra, Secretary (Finance), has been appointed as Commissioner (Rural Development). K M Bhimjiyani, Secretary (Cooperation, Animal Husbandry, Cow Breeding and Fisheries) will replace Chandra in the Finance department.

Among the IAS officers who have been given additional charges include A K Rakesh, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture), who has been given the charge of the post vacated by Bhimjiyani.

P Swaroop, Commissioner of Land Reforms in the Revenue department has been given the additional charge of Secretary of Appeals in the department. Earlier, Bhimjiyani had held the additional charge of this post.

And, Vijay Nehra, Secretary (Science and Technology) has been given additional charge of CEO, Special Project (Dholera SIR and Mandal Becharaji SIR), relieving Hareet Shukla.
