1995 batch IAS officer Santosh Babu has been appointed as Managing Director of Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited by the Kerala government. He has previously served as Principal Secretary of the Information Technology department of Tamil Nadu before taking a voluntary retirement in 2020.
The order was issued on 7th of October which stated that the ‘government was pleased to appoint Santhosh Babu as MD of Kerala State IT infrastructure Limited for a period of one year in the rank of principal secretary.’
The officer had served in various capacities in Tamil Nadu. He called it quits in August 2020 and took VRS when he had six more years to serve. Within the next four months, he joined Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM).
