IPS officer Lipi Singh has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP), Saharsa. The IPS officer was waiting for the posting after being removed from Munger district by the Election Commission.
Lipi Singh, a 2016-batch officer, was posted as SP in Munger district when violence erupted during the idol immersion of Durga procession in which one died, several others injured. Following the incident, the Election Commission had removed her as SP of Munger.
