Big Move in Gautam Budh Nagar police Commissionerate, Officers in All 3 Zones Reshuffled

The deputy commissioners of police (DCP) and additional deputy commissioners of police in all the three zones of Gautam Budh Nagar have been reshuffled.

In a big move, the DCPs, additional DCPs in all 3 zones of Noida commissionerate have been shifted. The three zones of Gautam Budh Nagar police commissionerate, namely Noida, Central Noida and Greater Noida, will have a change of guard. The order was passed on Sunday evening by police commissioner Alok Singh.

Harish Chandar, the DCP of the Central Noida zone since January 2020, will now take over as the Noida DCP. While 2016 IPS batch officer Abhishek Verma will take charge as DCP, Greater Noida zone, replacing 2014 IPS batch Dr Meenakshi Katyayan.

On the other hand, “The Greater Noida DCP will review and supervise work of police stations in the zone. He will also supervise special cell operations and cybercrime probes,” said the order. In the Central Noida zone, 2018 IPS batch Ankita Sharma has been appointed as ADCP. She will take charge as ADCP (headquarters), intelligence and security, women’s safety and police lines. She was earlier working as ACP, Noida zone and was also ADCP, women’s safety.

Meanwhile, Katyayan has been handed over the charge of DCP (women’s safety). Additionally, DCP (headquarters) Rambadan Singh has been given the additional charge of DCP (crime) and will also supervise Police Lines, as per cops. Noida and Central Noida will also get new additional DCPs, with Ashutosh Dwivedi taking over as the additional DCP of Noida. He was earlier the staff officer and additional DCP (law and order). In Central Noida, Ankita Sharma will now take charge as the additional DCP for headquarters, intelligence and security, women safety and Police Lines, as per the order. She was posted as the ACP of Noida zone and was also the additional DCP (women safety).

According to a police statement, the directions have been issued in “relation to the distribution of work of the DCPs/ additional DCPs in view of crime control, maintaining better law and order and in administrative interest.” Harish Chandar, the DCP of the Central Noida zone since January 2020, will now take over as the Noida DCP. He will review and supervise work of the police stations under Noida zone and will be responsible for crime control and law and order in the region,” stated the official order.
