1999 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, Mr. Nitish Kumar has been posted in Jammu and Kashmir. He was on central deputation, but now Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has posted him to Jammu and Kashmir.
He has served as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, South Kashmir Range, Anantnag.
“Consequent upon his repatriation from central deputation, Nitish Kumar, an IPS officer of 1999 AGMUT cadre is hereby posted to J&K with immediate effect and until further orders,” read an order issued by MHA.
