In the wake of rising terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the government on Thursday transferred and posted 27 police officers including SSP Srinagar Sandeep Choudhary.
Now, Rakesh Balwal, who bought the Pulwama attackers to justice, will be the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Srinagar.
Sandeep Choudhary has been transferred and posted as SSP Cyber Crime Investigation Centre for Excellence (CICE) as order stated. Besides, 26 more police officers have also been transferred.
IPS Javid Ahmed Koul, SSP Traffic City Srinagar is transferred and posted as SO to ADGP, Traffic J&K with additional charge of the posts of DIG, Traffic, Jammu and DIG, Traffic, Kashmir.
IPS Shridhar Patil, awaiting orders of posting upon modification of transfer on deputation to the Union territory of Ladakh, is posted as AIG (Tech) PHQ, against an available vacancy.
The order comes just three days after the Zewan terror attack in which the terrorists fired upon a bus carrying 25 cops.
