Chandigarh: As per order of the Governor of Punjab, 3 Commissioners of Police have been transferred on Tuesday.
Naunihal Singh, a 1997 batch IPS officer, presently Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar replacing IPS officer Sukhchain Singh.
Sukhchain Singh, a 2003 batch IPS officer, presently Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar replacing IPS officer Vikramjeet Duggal.
Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, a 2004 batch IPS officer, presently Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana has been transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana replacing IPS officer, Naunihal Singh.
The order also stated that posting of Vikramjeet Duggal belonging to 2007 IPS batch will be issued later.
Further, the officers are directed to join their respective new place of posting immediately.
In its first big bureaucratic reshuffle, the Charanjit Singh Channi government also issued the transfer orders of nine IAS.
