Chandigarh: The Haryana government has transferred two senior IPS officers, reshuffling high-level responsibilities in the state’s police administration. The transfer orders were issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Dr. Sumita Mishra on Monday.
Akil Mohammad Appointed DG Home Guard
1989 batch IPS officer and Director General of Police (DGP), Mr Akil Mohammad has now been appointed as Director General of the Home Guard. A senior IPS officer, Akil Mohammad has held several key positions in the Haryana Police and is known for his administrative experience and operational acumen.

Alok Kumar Rai Takes Over as DG Prisons
1991 batch senior IPS officer, Alok Kumar Rai, who is also of DGP rank, has been appointed as Director General, Prisons. Rai has earlier served in several important roles across the police department and brings years of experience in law enforcement and institutional management.

Recent Wave of Administrative Transfers in Haryana
