26 IPS Officers Transferred in Odisha, Pinaka Mishra Made DIG of STF, Jgmohan Meena, New DCP of Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: In a significant move aimed at streamlining the state’s police administration, the Odisha government today announced a major reshuffle of 26 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The reshuffle, which includes transfers of key officials, comes as part of the state’s efforts to ensure efficient functioning of law enforcement in various regions.

According to an official notification from the Home Department, the changes affect various top-ranking officers, including the DCPs of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Key Transfers:

  • 2011 batch IPS officer Pinaka Mishra, currently the DCP of Bhubaneswar, has been appointed as the DIG of STF, Bhubaneswar.
  • 2013 batch IPS officer Jgmohan Meena, DCP of Cuttack, has been transferred to Bhubaneswar as the new DCP.
  • 2016 batch IPS officer Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, the current SP of Bolangir, will take over as the DCP of Cuttack.

The reshuffle also sees a range of high-profile appointments and transfers, including the following:

  • M. Narvane (RR-1989), presently Director, Printing, Stationary, and Publication, Odisha, is now the Special Director General of OHRC.
  • Diptesh Kumar Pattanaik (RR-1997), who was serving as the CMD of OSRTC, will now take over as the Director, Printing, Stationary, and Publication, Odisha.
  • Yatindra Koyal (RR-2000), currently ADGP of Provisioning, Odisha, will now serve as ADG of HRPC.
  • Praveen Kumar (RR-2002), IGP of Personnel, has been appointed as the new IGP of Central Range, Cuttack.
  • Narsingha Bhol (RR-2002), Excise Commissioner, will now serve as Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.

Additional notable appointments include:

  • Deepak Kumar (RR-2004), IGP, Home Guards and Fire Services, now becomes IGP of Operations.
  • Jai Narayan Pankaj (RR-2005), IGP of Operations, will now serve as IGP of Intelligence.
  • Dr. Sarthak Sarangi (RR-2007), IGP of Southern Range, Berhampur, has been appointed as IGP of CID-CB.

Other Key Changes:

  • Niti Shekhar (RR-2007), who was previously IGP of SWR, Koraput, will now serve as IGP of Southern Range.
  • Umashankar Dash (RR-2008), presently Additional CP, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, has been moved to the post of DIG, Home Guards and Fire Services.
  • Akhileshvar Singh (RR-2009) has been appointed as DIG of South Western Range.
  • Charan Singh Meena (RR-2009) will now serve as DIG of Provisioning.

Among the other significant changes:

  • Vivekananda Sharma (RR-2014) has been appointed as SP of Railways, Cuttack.
  • Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo (RR-2016), previously the SP of Bolangir, will take over as the new DCP of Cuttack.
  • Abilash G (RR-2018) moves from SP, Kalahandi, to become SP of Bolangir.
  • Nagaraj Deverkonda (RR-2018) will now serve as SP of Kalahandi.

New Officers Appointed to Key Positions:

  • Rahul Goel (RR-2020) will now take over as SP of Boudh, replacing the outgoing officer.
  • Ankit Kumar Verma (RR-2021), SDPO of Jeypore, has been posted as Additional DCP, Bhubaneswar, UPD.
  • Kashyap Partha Jagdish (RR-2021), currently an IPS Probationer, is now posted as SDPO of Jeypore.
  • Amritpal Singh (RR-2021), currently SDPO of Nuapada, has been appointed as Additional SP of Khurda.
  • Amritpal Kaur (RR-2021), SDPO of Padmapur, will now serve as Additional DCP of Bhubaneswar, UPD.
  • Sonali Singh Parmer (RR-2022), currently SDPO of Bonai, has been appointed as ACP of Bhubaneswar, UPD.

The reshuffle is seen as an effort by the Odisha government to strengthen its police services and enhance administrative efficiency. The affected officers are expected to take up their new roles immediately.
