The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has empanelled 27 officers from various services, batches, and cadres to hold Additional Secretary or Additional Secretary Equivalent level posts at the Centre. Among those empanelled for the post of Additional Secretary are Aparna Sachin Sharma (CSS: 1989), Anuj Sharma (IDES: 1991), Jaipal Singh (IFoS: 1991: GJ), Uma Nanduri (IFoS: 1993: OR), Prabhat (IRPS: 1993), Valeti Premchand (IDES: 1994), Vinod Kotwal (IP&TA&FS: 1994), Amrit Raj (IPoS: 1994), Puja Singh Mandol (IA&AS: 1995), Sandeep Sarkar (IDAS: 1995), Anu P Mathai (IES: 1995), Rama Shankar Sinha (IFoS: 1995: AGMUT), Richa Misra (IDAS: 1996), Hoveyda Abbas (IA&AS: 1997), and Amitesh Kumar Sinha (IRAS: 1997).
For the post of Additional Secretary Equivalent, the officers empanelled are A Asholi Chalai (CSS: 1987), Amitabh Kumar (IRS C&IT: 1992), Nirupama Kotru (IRS IT: 1992), Yatinder Prasad (IA&AS: 1993), Saurabh Kumar Tiwari (IP&TA&FS: 1993), Amita Prasad Sarbhai (IRAS: 1993), Biswaranjan Sasmal (IRS IT: 1993), Sanjiv Shankar (IRS IT: 1993), Roop Rashi (IA&AS: 1994), Sanjay Pandey (ICAS: 1994), Mihir Kumar (IDAS: 1996), and G Madhumita Das (IPoS: 1996). This empanelment highlights the government’s move to strengthen administrative leadership by appointing experienced officers to key positions.
