1995 batch IPS officer Pankaj Darad, ADG Law and Order and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has been designated as the State Coordinator of the Central Forces.

Meanwhile, 1996 batch IPS officer Kamal Kishore Singh, ADG, will handle responsibilities related to the election budget.

Sources indicate that the Bihar Police will soon begin the process of assessing security forces and marking sensitive booths to ensure peaceful elections.
