Lucknow: In a significant move aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, 32 IPS officers were transferred late on Monday night and into Tuesday morning. The reshuffle, executed under the instructions of the state government, was initiated by the Director General of Police (DGP) headquarters.

- 2011 batch IPS officer Hemant Kutiyal has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Special Zone Security in Lucknow, and additionally will serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police, SSF, also based in Lucknow. Previously, he held the charge of Additional Charge Prison Administration and Correctional Services at the DGP Headquarters, Lucknow.
- 2011 batch IPS officer Shalini will now serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commander, 41st Battalion PAC, Ghaziabad. She has been transferred to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Section, in Moradabad.
- Swapnil Mamgai, formerly posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, 49th Battalion PAC in Gautam Buddha Nagar, has been assigned to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Section, in Meerut.
- D. Pradeep Kumar will be shifting from his role as Deputy Inspector General of Police, 48th Battalion PAC Sonbhadra, to take on the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police/Additional Secretary at the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.
