Srinagar: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The changes, described as being “in the interest of administration,” were announced through an official order issued by the General Administration Department, with immediate effect.

Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma Appointed Financial Commissioner of Tourism

Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, IAS (AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department. Additionally, he will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department until further notice.

Anil Kumar Singh Shifted to Public Works (R&B)

Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT:1995), previously serving as Principal Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, and Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, has now been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will retain additional charge of the Mining Department.

Yasha Mudgal Moved to Youth Services and Sports

Ms. Yasha Mudgal, IAS (AGMUT:2007), has been transferred from the Tourism Department and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports Department.

Sarmad Hafeez to Head Social Welfare Department

Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009), previously with the Youth Services and Sports Department, has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department.

Talat Parvez Rohella Appointed Chairman of Bureau of Public Enterprises

Talat Parvez Rohella, IAS (AGMUT:2010), formerly Secretary to the Government, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, has been appointed Chairman, Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K.

Bhupinder Kumar Takes Over as Resident Commissioner, New Delhi

Bhupinder Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2011), who was holding multiple key roles including Secretary, Public Works (R&B), and Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, has now been officially posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will continue to hold additional charges of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department and Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.

Ananth Dwivedi Gets Additional Revenue Department Charge
