New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Balasugumar Daniel, currently Chief General Manager In-charge (Works) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), as the Director (Operations) of Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI). The decision was taken following the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and has been formally communicated to the ministry for necessary action.

As per the official Information Note dated 21 November 2025 (File No. 13/04/2025-EO(ACC)), the ACC cleared Mr. Daniel’s appointment, which is expected to bring valuable operational expertise to CCI. The note includes a standard disclaimer stating that it shall not form the basis for any legal claim by any individual.
Mr. Daniel’s appointment is in line with CCI’s strategic objective to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance production capacities, and drive growth in the cement manufacturing sector. His extensive experience at SAIL is anticipated to support process optimization, project management, and technical leadership within the company.
