ACC Approves In-Situ Upgradation of Four Officers to Special Secretary Level

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the in-situ upgrade of the following officers to the rank of Special Secretary and the pay of Secretary to the Government of India. This upgrade is personal to them and has been carried out by temporarily upgrading the posts they currently hold.

The officers promoted are as follows:

  • Ms. Arti Bhatnagar (1990-batch IDAS officer) – Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
  • Mr. Trishaljit Sethi (1990-batch IPoS officer) – Director General (Training), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
  • Mr. Sanjay Prasad (1990-batch IRS officer) – Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
  • Mr. L. Satya Srinivas (1991-batch IRS officer) – Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. He will also hold additional charge as CEO, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Special Purpose Vehicle, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, until a regular appointment is made or until further orders.

Notably, these four officers, along with Ms. Meenakshi Negi (1989-batch IFoS officer Karnataka cadre), Mr. Anand Mohan Bajaj (1990-batch IA&AS officer), and Mr. Praveen Vashista (1991-batch IPS officer, Bihar cadre), were empanelled on January 6, 2025, for appointment to Secretary/Equivalent posts at the Centre.
