Andhra Pradesh: 26 IPS Officers Transferred, N Madhusudhana Reddy Appointed ADG, Law and Order

In a significant reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh government has transferred 26 IPS officers across various posts in the state. The orders for these transfers were issued on Monday.

Among the key appointments, 1997 batch IPS officer N Madhusudhana Reddy, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order, filling the existing vacancy. 1995 batch senior IPS officer Rajiv Kumar Meena has been appointed as the Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB).

In other notable transfers, 2002 batch IPS officer Ch. Srikanth, currently serving as the IGP, Law and Order, has been moved to the position of IGP, Operations. 2005 batch IPS officer G. Pala Raju, who was also awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

2006 batch IPS officer R. Jayalakshmi has been posted as the IGP/Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), while B. Raja Kumari, an IPS officer of 2007 batch, takes over as IGP, Andhra Pradesh Special Police Battalions (APSP Bns.).

Additional transfers include new postings for SPs, DCPs, and Commandants across various districts and departments, strengthening the police force’s operational and administrative capabilities.

  1. Rajiv Kumar Meena, IPS (RR: 1995) – Transferred from Additional Director General of Police (Greyhounds & Octopus) to Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB).
  2. N. Madhusudhana Reddy, IPS (RR: 1997) – Appointed Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), previously awaiting posting.
  3. Ch. Srikanth, IPS (RR: 2002) – Appointed IGP (Operations) with additional charge of IGP (Technical Services), previously IGP (Law & Order).
  4. R. Jayalakshmi, IPS (RR: 2006) – Appointed IGP/Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), previously awaiting posting.
  5. G. Pala Raju, IPS (RR: 2005) – Appointed Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory.
  6. G. Bindu Madhav, IPS (RR: 2017) – Transferred to SP, Kakinada.
  7. M. Deepika, IPS (RR: 2014) – Transferred to Commandant of the 2nd Bn, APSP, Kurnool, from Commandant of the 3rd Bn, APSP.
  8. K.S.S.V. Subba Reddy, IPS (SPS: 2015) – Appointed SP, Coordination (Human Rights & Legal), previously SP of PTO.
  9. J. Rama Mohan Rao, IPS (SPS) – Retained as SP (Intelligence).
  10. A. Ramadevi, IPS (SPS) – Retained as SP (Intelligence).
  11. K. Vijay Kumar, IPS (RR: 1996) – Appointed SP, East Godavari.
  12. P. V. S. S. Kumar, IPS (RR: 2001) – Appointed IGP (Law & Order).
  13. G. Ravi Kumar, IPS (RR: 2003) – Appointed SP, Prakasam.
  14. M. D. S. N. Prasad, IPS (RR: 2004) – Appointed SP, Chittoor.
  15. K. Sudhakar, IPS (RR: 2004) – Appointed SP, Krishna.
