The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the suspension of three IPS officers—Vishal Gunni, Kanthi Ratan Tata, and P. Sitaram Anjaneyulu—for another six months over their alleged harassment of Mumbai-based actor and model Kadambari Narendra Kumar Jethwani.
Initially suspended on September 15, 2024, the officers were accused of hastily arresting Jethwani without a proper investigation. Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand issued an order extending their suspension until September 9, 2025, or until further notice.
Former Intelligence Chief Sitaram Anjaneyulu (DG rank), ex-Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanthi Ratan Tata (IG rank), and then Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gunni (SP rank) were suspended after an inquiry found their alleged involvement in the case.
