New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has officially recommended Mr. Arun Kumar Tyagi for the position of Director (Technical) at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL). The announcement came following a thorough interview process held today during the PESB Meeting No. 109/2025. A total of twelve candidates were interviewed for this prestigious position, which plays a key role in managing the technical operations at NCL.

Selection Process Concludes with Mr. Tyagi’s Recommendation

The PESB conducted a rigorous selection process aimed at identifying the most qualified candidate to oversee the technical aspects of NCL’s mining operations. The meeting, which took place at 11:30 AM today, saw candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds, particularly from public sector giants such as Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries, including South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), as well as NLC India Limited and NTPC Limited.

Mr. Tyagi, currently serving as the General Manager/Area General Manager at SECL’s Gevra Area, emerged as the preferred candidate for the role. His extensive experience in coal mining operations, coupled with his leadership in one of the largest coalfields in India, made him a standout choice for the position.
